Learn more about the Basset Hound.
Bea is a sweet little houndy girl that was rescued from along with a large group of other bassets. Her foster parents report the following: Bea was extremely timid when she first came to us, but is easing into household living nicely. She is a curious little hound and a ‘thinker’ – watching goings-ons with interest and analyzing each new situation. She still startles easily from sudden movement or noises (creaking chair, loud TV, an item dropped, loud shoes on the tile…), but she is getting more comfortable. She gets along really well with our two Bassets and enjoys playing with our 4 yr old hound. Bea is housetrained and has never had an accident in the house (we have a dog door so she can go out at will). When she forms an attachment she greets that person with great joy and excitement, but is leery of new situations/ people at first. Bea loves to cuddle with ‘her person’ and has the largest, softest Basset ears I’ve ever felt! She would do best in a non-chaotic home with other dogs. Bea is thought to be about a year and a half old. More about Bea(#46 Shasta)Good with Dogs Other Pictures of Bea(#46 Shasta) (click to see larger version):
