Learn more about the Basset Hound.
Daisy is a sweet older gal looking for a great home to enjoy her golden years. We are still getting to know her. Here is what her foster home has to say so far:
Daisy was an owner surrender to a shelter. Seems her original owner passed away, and his father took over the care of Daisy. At age 90 he was unable to care for her any longer, so gave her up.
Daisy is a terrific dog! At age 12, so has more pep than her foster Mom's 4 year old Basset. She dances, jumping up and down on her front feet, ears flying all directions, waiting for her bowl at breakfast and dinner.
She loves the other dogs she currently lives with. She does not give the cats a passing glance. Totally housebroken. She will let you know when she wants to go outside. A bit of separation anxiety that passes quickly. (Understandable after spending her whole life with one family). Daisy is a very happy, healthy dog, and very adaptable. She has lots of years to go, and love to give to her forever family.
Daisy is a pure love to have around. We now know that her birthday is June 8, 1999. She is spayed, had a recent full dental (courtesy of GGBR), and is bouncing full of health. She would just love to come share your life in her golden years and give you herself in return.
