Wyatt…what can be said about him? “O’ buddy o’ pal o’ friend of mine”? Ladies and Gentlemen, this fella is just a lover. GGBR knows very little of his past, but we have had him as a foster for a short time now and feel able to tell what we know of him. He gets along with our dogs (quite well) and shows no food aggression. He can get a little cranky with his pets. He prefers to get all the attention so if he’s getting pets and my dogs come near, he will sometimes grumble a little. Of course, what Basset loves to share attention? Fear not, it’s only a minor quibble and a couple of words from your mouth and he’ll be on his back, exposing his belly and wagging his tail. He’s very human submissive and a total sweetheart. Wyatt’s got energy abound and LOVES to walk. He runs, plays, frolics, pounces like a young pup…just a happy dude all around. His weight most likely helps with that. He’s at a good healthy weight and doesn’t exhibit the issues of his heftier brethren. Did I also mention he’s a snuggle bug? It didn’t take him long to adapt to the couch; I call him, he comes up and then sleeps. Husband not in the mood to cuddle? Wyatt LOVES it when you wrap your arms around him and snooze!! I like Wyatt so much I want to keep him, but I can’t. I have my own dogs and it’s not fair to them. I like to foster and then let go so I can help the next needy hound. I really love this guy and want to see him with a loving family who will let him sleep on the couch! YOUR couch maybe?
