Dozer is a 7 yr old male basset.  He is affectionate and loves getting attention, although he is not too keen on being hugged!  He tends to be a quiet dog in the house lounging in a nice comfy spot.  He perks up if the door bell rings and sometimes barks.  He loves going for long outdoor walks and is easy on the leash.  He is fully house broken.

Dozer is suspicious of people he doesn't know and may growl until he has been introduced.  He will also growl to warn you if you do something he doesn't like.  For this reason, he will not be placed in a home with young children, who may not listen to his warning.  He has not snapped or bitten in his current foster home and they are learning what he doesn't like!
