Good news regarding Penny's health condition!! Poor Penny suffered a fracture of the spine and initially the prognosis was very poor. Surgery was  considered and later ruled out, as was the plan that she might be forever in a cart to assist her in being mobile. Her recovery has been amazing and the latest exam by an orthopedic surgeon shows that she should recover fully. For the next two months her activity will need to continue to be limited but eventually she will be fully mobile. 

Penny's recovery is a huge success story  with many thanks being given to the orginal rescue Hearts for Paws, the various medical folks who cared for her, and her GGBR foster parents.
