Learn more about the Basset Hound.
Buster is a love sponge! He was adopted from Craigslist by the owner of an older basset. Buster's need for constant attention and his inexperience with other dogs led to the older basset not accepting him. The adopter surrendered Buster to GGBR.
Buster is a gentle soul who simply wants to be loved and adored by his people. He loves being in a lap and enjoys sleeping with his owners. He doesn't bark but tends to whine which is one way he works to get attention. He is housetrained, loves to go on walks, is friendly with everyone he meets, and is a happy, playful young houndie. He tends to jump up on people and appears to have had no training for manners. Where he was given the name Buster is unknown; his original name was Gus and the adopters will be using that name for him. Special Needs: Buster had come to his adopter with infections in both ears and she immediately took him to the vet. When the vet tech tried to clean his ears, he attempted to bite her. Given that his ears were painful, he had just been moved from his original family and was with a stranger in a vet office unknown to him, his reaction was deemed not a sign of his being aggressive.
