Georgia is a PEACH: Playful, energetic, affectionate, cute and happy! She is a 15 month old mostly Basset (with a little Beagle mixed in), 35 pound love bug with a lot of energy! Georgia came into GGBR via a shelter/owner surrender. She came from a family with another dog, a Labrador, that we are sure had the patience of a saint, as little Miss Georgia LOVES to play, and play and play. She is very smart and has an incredible sense of smell and those two traits can lead her into trouble sometimes as she will find things to chew on/up. She is crate trained and learned to use the doggie door lickity split! She is a wonderful car traveler but is still working on her leash manners. Speaking manners, she does need to watched around young children with food as she has been known to “dine and dash” in those circumstances. Georgia is good with cats; she will chase them if they run, but she will respect a swat on the nose from them as well. Cats to her are just another opportunity to play! She plays wonderfully with other dogs, even getting the grumpy old dog foster sisters at her foster family’s house to play with her! She was great buds with their Bloodhound foster as well! She would do well in a home with at least one other, playful dog. Georgie is currently on anxiety medication which greatly helps with her separation anxiety as she will stay happily in her crate when left alone. This PEACH of a pup is currently being fostered in the Sacramento area but her foster family is known for their vagabond traveling ways to help their fosters find furever homes!
