Johnny Angel How I love you...
 
Well what is not to love about this active 2 year old Basset Hound Boy? He loves to hop about, shake rattle and roll, play with toys, and just generally play.  His unusual coloring really makes him stand out from the rest of the pack! Johnny is an owner surrender due to the landlord not allowing pets. He is fully up to date with all his shots, neutered and heartworm negative. This high energy fellow does very well with other dogs and small children. He can be a bit a shy at first meeting, but warms quickly and will follow you all over the house. That is when he is not playing! He has good manners, is house trained to a dog door (if you don't have one he may need some help learning the ropes). He has some basic obedience training, but needs work with not pulling while on a leash.
 
Johnny needs an active home with owners who will give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. You can even throw a ball for him (he brings it back half the time. Not bad for a Basset!) He enjoys chewing so needs chew appropriate toys and bones. He really loves going for long walks, we have had him out for five miles and afterwards he is tired and very willing to snuggle by your side. We are not sure how he does with cats, but I suspect he would do well with a dog friendly cat.
