Bubba is a tricolor 3-5 year old male.  He was left at the Antioch Shelter with another Basset.  The other dog was adopted, leaving Bubba alone.  Since the first day in his foster home, Bubba has become the model dog.  He learned not to mark in the house, and quickly took to the dog door and is now house trained.  He sits and waits quietly for his food and eats with the resident basset.  He loves to go for walks and to the dog park. He is very friendly around other dogs, big and small, and has become buddies with the resident basset.  He was very excited to see Buster, the cat and now they seem to be best friends.   Bubba is neutered,  heart worm negative, had his teeth cleaned and a small cyst removed from his front leg.  Vaccinations are up to date. 

Bubba would do best in a family with another dog as he does not like being left alone.  He does have some separation anxiety but it is better as he has become more comfortable in the house.  He cries for a while when left alone and he barks when he is excited or is telling you it’s time for his walk, and of course, he has to bark when chasing other dogs in the park. He is great with the grandchildren ages 5 and 10.  He is an excellent counter surfer so food and other items need to be kept back from the edge, where he can't reach them.

Won't you consider adopting Bubba?  His foster home wanted very much to adopt him, but is reluctantly allowing him to find a forever home.  A great family dog, wonderful Bubba is waiting for a place in your home and heart.
