Otis is a two year old neutered male basset hound whose owner had obtained him as a companion for her son. Circumstances in their lives had changed with her son leaving home soon and the owner felt that she could no longer deal with Otis' extreme food grabbing and counter surfing. On the plus, the owner reported that Otis is a friendly happy dog who gets along with adults, children, and other dogs and animals (chickens, deer, etc). That has found to be true of Otis and his stealing food has not been a big issue in his foster to adopt home.
