Bubbles is a 7 year old  neutered male who came to GGBR when his  original owners passed away.  He spent his life as an only dog with  senior owners, not having much contact with other dogs. This boy is making up for lost time...he is 'kicking up his heels", bursting with energy and joy. He is housetrained, is in good health, and loves life!

Bubbles is as playful and energetic as a puppy! He has lots of energy and just wants to be near his humans. He also enjoys relaxing on the sofa with his person. He gets along with other dogs, but doesn’t care to play with them, and has shown some signs of aggression when protecting his human from other dogs. No food aggression has been seen and he takes treats gently.

Bubbles is used to having someone home all day, so he would do best with someone who is either retired, or works from home, or isn’t gone too long during the day. He can be left alone (with no food left out) or crated when gone. He also happily sleeps in his crate at night.

Bubbles does need some training as he is so excited to be near you he jumps up a lot. He has also discovered that counter surfing is how you find yummy things to eat! Once he knows you, he is very friendly and such a happy boy, but he will need time to get to know new people.

Bubbles has probably not had a lot of exposure to the outside world, even at 7 years of age. At this point, walks in the neighborhood scare him, so he will need brief and gentle exposure to walks, excursions, and new people, to try to make those experiences pleasant and stress-free, until he builds up some confidence.
