In Feb2023, Golden Gate Basset Rescue spent around $10,000 on back surgery for Ethel.

Five-year-old Ethel is a sweet, gentle and responsive girl. She loves to ride in the car.  Ethel loves people, pats and belly rubs. She is up for a bit of adventure with other dogs, but particularly wants attention from people. Ethel loves treats, but is picky about food. She accepts new people and situations well. Ethel requires daily walks to keep her waistline trim.  Ethel is currently recovering from back surgery. She is doing well and is expected to be available for adoption, when she has fully recovered. Her new home should be willing to help Ethel lose some weight and keep it under control to avoid extra strain on Ethel's back.
