This is Flo. She is 9 years old, rescued from Shasta Co. when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She is sweet and slow, very quiet and reserved (her foster mom has hardly heard a sound out of her). She weighs around 35lbs. We have listed her as a mix, but she looks pure basset to us... slightly shorter ears and longer hair than usual, but 95% basset! She is good with other dogs, likes walks and is leash and house trained. She is
not good on stairs, probably deaf, or hearing impaired. She is heartworm
positive, but x rays did not show, blood tests did, we have started her on
preventative. She lived with an elderly woman her whole life and seems pretty
shutdown, although she has started following her foster mom around and is seeming a little happier. She is probably a little confused at the turn in her circumstances, but her tail does wag sometimes and I can tell she has the potential to
be very happy and loving if given a loving and stable environment..
