ADOPTION PENDING - Droppy is an 8 yr old female who has been spayed and is ready to go to her new home with her brother Spot. They have spent their whole life together with the same family and each other so it would be nice for them to go on with their lives together. Droppy is a little shy when she meets other dogs but will warm up to them. She is great with children, current on vaccinations and ready to start her new life with Spot Spot is an 8 yr old, neutered, male who has spent his whole life with his sister Droppy. Their owner finds herself in a situation where she has to move to a place that will not let her have them. Another tragedy from this economy. Droppy would love to be in a happy home with lots of love and children. Both dogs are friendly, housetrained, fully vaccinated and microchipped. They seem to be fine left alone for a number of hours, especially as they will have each other for company. These dogs will be an asset to any family that takes them in. They are a ready made brood of bassets just waiting to share your couch!

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

Special Needs: Although we would love these hounds to go together, Droppy recently had surgery to remove a few lumps and bumps (very common in unspayed females). Spot did not stress at all that she wasn't around, so we may consider splitting the dogs if the right home comes along. We're currently assessing Droppy's behavior if she is left without Spot and if that test goes well, we'll list them separately. So far, the two seem to find comfort in having each other, but do not spend a lot of time together.. they don't sleep together, hang out in the yard together etc. Their bond seems to be that of a couple of older siblings who have their own lives to live while still enjoying the occasional chat in passing!
